Peter and Clara's tombstone. David Emelander is buried next to Peter &
Clara. David was Peter's twin who died about three months after birth. I'm sorry
Peter & Clara's marker doesn't have more light on it. It was getting late in the
afternoon that day.
Second from left is Henry Emelander

Bokke & Lucille's marker. Jarig's marker is at their feet, facing to the left.
Bokke & Lucille's oldest son who was born in Friesland. He died in 1898, his
grave is at Fairplains Cemetery
This picture is taken in Georgetown Cemetery in Hudsonville. Anna is Bokke &
Lucille's oldest daughter. She married Art Woodwyk. The Woodwyk's must have been
nice people because two of Douwe's daughters married Woodwyk's also. Ada married
Case Woodwyk and Anna married his brother Martin Woodwyk.
This is a photo of my Great Grandfather's Douwe & his second wife's Marker
{Susie Hovinga}. they are in Georgetown Cemetery in Hudsonville. Notice the
spelling on the marker. Douwe must have wanted it that way.
This is a picture of my Grandfather's marker. Notice the date of birth on
George's side of the stone. It was wrong and they tried to change it. The rest
of the photos I have are on Douwe's side of the tree. Douwe, Bokke, Lucille,
Jarig and George {Tjeerd} are the ones who came over here together. Bokke &
Lucille had four children out of seven who survived to adulthood {I'm still
looking for Bokke's seventh} and Douwe had twelve survive to adulthood out of
eighteen born, counting both marriages. PS Geo & Effie are in Balcom Cemetery,
south of Ionia Mi. on Tuttle Rd
