In the name of God Amen, I James Wilkerson of the County of Warren in the State of Ohio being in perfect health of body and sound & disposing mind & memory & understanding considering the certainty of death & the uncertainty of the time thereof & being desirous to settle my worldly affairs & thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make & publish this my last will & testament in manner & form following that is to say

Item: I give & devise unto my beloved wife Sarah during her natural lifetime all my personal estate either goods, chattels, rights, credits, monies or affects whatever of which I may be proposed at the time of my death for her to use & benefit & to be at her whole disposal at any time during her lifetime & that whatever may be remaining at the time of her death of the personal estate, my will is that the same be sold & equally divided amongst my nine children or their legal representatives.

Item: I also give and bequath unto my wife Sarah the whole & sole use of the house in which we now live to be at her use & pleasure & for her uses during her lifetime my advice is that my said wife after my death that she will sell & dispose of the personal property & put the proceeds thereof to interests for her use.

Item: I also will & desire that my Executor herewith after named shall as soon after my death as conveniently may be deliver to each of my children their respective deeds of conveyance executed in their favor & in my possession – and

Lastly: I do hereby constitute & appoint my son William Wilkerson to be my sole Executor of this my last will & testament hereby revoking & annulling all former wills by me heretofore made ratifying & confirming this I none other to be my last will & testament.

In testimony whereof I James Wilkerson have to this my last will & testament set my hand & deal this first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty

Signed and sealed and published declared and delivered by James Wilkerson the above named testator as and for his last Will and Testament & in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto
